Octoberween updates!

As I've said over the last while, the site is changeing appearance and it could take forever given the facts of life. (news post below)

However that doesnt mean we arent still accepting submissions and trying to keep regular articles going- so here is the october update- a Sleepin Beauty, horoscopes for the month, Saints Row 2 Xbox review and a brill interview with Enter Shikari. Enjoy and thanks for checking in ;)

So, here we are, staring down the barrel of another month's Sleepwalkers Mag. All kinds of articles are loaded and ready to tear your fragile flesh away from your squalid flesh sack. Etc.

Well, it's been a long 10 months and we at SWM have been toying with some new ideas to change the format and keep things fresh. Our monthly updates were not working and the Stoke rock scene is a tad small for an audience, so the thoughts at the moment lean towards opening up the mag nationally and covering a wider range of subject, just with an Alt theme.

The new look site will be up... some time and the updates will occur more or less when we have the free time. We will keep folks updated via myspace and possibly youtube depending on the new format.

So bear with us and dont forget about us while we take a creative hiatus. Enjoy this month's jibber jabber and feel free to wang in your suggestions and stuff.

Get yourself signed up for the forum and make a post under the thread 'Devil's Night Free Entry' in the specials area and the randomly drawn winner will recieve 2 free entries to Devil's Night in June! Something for nothing, I hear you cry? Big thanks for the kind donation go to the DN management.

We are also keen to show a bit more of the Stoke nightlife. Some of you will have looked at the Rock Scene Roundup page, where we post some pics from local nights. Well, we want to start showing antics from more nights (The Sugarmill, Rigger, local pubs) and on top of that I'm no longer doing Coco's Friday night photography every week (everything becomes monthly when you get older!). Send in your pics to the above addy and we will put the best up so all your mates can see you being silly/pretty/drunk. If you are photographer, I'll wang your credit/link on there too, and if you are an illustrator etc we want to see your talents.

I'm not finished! We also know that there are a lot of cracking young reviewers out there, particularly at Staffs Uni. We would like to open up to submissions of articles, so if you have seen a gig recently or want to espouse your take on alternative life then check out the submission info on the contacts page. We are also opening our doors for local businesses and individuals offering services in the alt region (cd shops, printers, performers, bands, djs, etc etc) to join the Sleepwalkers Directory. For £10 one off fee you get to have your profile, links and pic listed here for all to see! That section will appear when we get some buyers- buzz us on ads@sleepwalkersmagazine.com.
